CMS principal honored

RESA 2 has recently named the 2013-14 Principal of the Year, and that honor was accepted by one of Logan County’s very own.Jason Browning, Chapmanville Middle School principal, was honored for the award during RESA 2’s council meeting on June 25. A committee of superintendents selected Browning for the award based on an in-depth application process examining student achievement, leadership skills, com-munity involvement, and professional development.Some of the successful practices of CMS include the school’s leadership team, community involvement with organizations such as the Goshen Project and LEAD Organization, weekly grade level planning meetings, and the school’s collaborative approach for academic success.
