Body found in Chief Logan park

CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK — The body of a person reported missing more than a week ago was found inside the boundaries of Chief Logan State Park Saturday. Officers had received new information while investigating the missing person case which led them to the body.

Sgt. R. G. Flippen of the Logan State Police Detachment said Saturday afternoon that he could only release some basic information, pending notification of family members.

The name of the person was being withheld pending notification of family members. The cause of death has not been officially released.
