The Logan Middle School football team improved to 2-0 on the season with Thursday night’s 21-6 win at Ripley in Mid-Valley Conference action.
Logan was led by quarterback Noah Corbett, who completed 7-of-9 passes for 143 yards and two touchdown passes to Tyler Browning. He also rushed six times for 36 yards.
Browning also surpassed the 10o-yard rushing mark with 12 carries for 103 yards, including a 50-yard TD run.
“The passing game was really working for us tonight,” LMS coach Jared Voldness said. “Ripley had a big line and some strong backs who gave us problems all night. We played as a team the whole night, which was the key to bring home the win.
The Timberwolves’ Braxton Goff had three catches for 30 yards.
Chris Barbour was 1-for-2 on extra point kicks.
Daniel Browning led the Logan defense with nine tackles and a fumble recovery.
Tyler Browning had seven tackles with a pass break-up.
Corbett had seven tackles, a sack and a cause fumble, while Cody Maynard and David Cruz had four tackles apiece with Watkins and Jamel Minter having three each.
James Hunter and Brody Workman each had two tackles and one hurry.
