CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Katherine Williamson, 84, of Chapmanville, died and entered into to Heaven Friday, September 7, 2012, at her residence.
Born August 1, 1928, in Chapmanville, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Mattie Hill Yeager. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Kyle Williamson; two sisters, Marjorie Craddock and Clara Eloise Yeager, and seven brothers, William “Bill” Yeager, George Yeager, Charles Yeager, Theodore Yeager Jr., Vernon Yeager, Thomas Yeager and Ira “Epp” Estes Yeager.
Katherine worked at Collins Department store. She was a member of the Church of God of Holiness at Chapmanville and was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son and his wife, Phillip Eric and Edwina “Wendy” Williamson; 10 brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary and Louise Yeager, Joe Craddock, Ruby (Maurice) Pendleton, Leslie (Jean) Williamson, Bennett Williamson and Macie (Jimmy) Cline; two grandchildren, Phillip Eric Williamson II and Jennifer Leigh (Justin) Cook; one great-grandchild, Josiah Anthony Cook, and her special friends, Shirlene Drake, Delores Lovejoy and Maudie Lane.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Freeman Funeral Home with Allen Martin and Jeff Hargraves officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be close friends and family.
