Lady Billies improve to 11-2 after downing Tolsia at home

The Man High School girls’ volleyball team kept its winning ways going on Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory at home over the Class AA Tolsia Rebels at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

With the win, the Lady Billies improved to 11-2 on the season.

Man toppled Tolsia 25-23 and 25-22 in the first two sets, then lost 25-20 to the Rebels. The Lady Billies then wrapped up the match with a 25-17 triumph in the fourth set.

Man, coached by Orlando Washington, are scheduled to play at Buffalo on Thursday in a quad match.

The Lady Billies then play at Wyoming East on Saturday, host Mingo Central next Monday, go to River View on Oct. 9 and travel to Tolsia on Oct. 11 in the rematch with the Rebels.

Man follows that up with an Oct. 16 home match against Wyoming East before traveling to play at county rival Chapmanville Regional on Oct. 18.

The Lady Billies then go to Buffalo again on Oct. 20, host Class AAA county rival Logan on Oct. 22 and close out the regular season on Oct. 23 at Westside.
