GLENCOE, Ala. — Sadie Mae Noone, 85, peacefully passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, at Meadowood Retirement Village in Glencoe, Ala., where she resided the past three years. She was a resident of Glen Ferris, where she lived with son, William E. Noone, and most recently with her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beth Noone.
Sadie operated Allied Coal Testing Laboratory in Hugheston with her husband of 63 years, William H. Noone, who passed in 2005. Sadie was an artist, both with a canvas and in the kitchen, known for her oil paintings and Italian feasts. Sadie was raised in a family of 14 brothers and sisters, and often cooked as if she was required to feed that many.
Survivors include her sons, Dr. William E. Noone of Glen Ferris and Logan Attorney Robert Noone and wife, Beth Noone; one grandson, William Wilbanks Noone of Los Angeles, Calif.; her brother, Richard Gregg and wife Joann of Star City and sisters, Clara Huggins, Dorothy Dezzuitti, Arlene Neely, Connie Nagy and Patty Goodnight, all of the Morgantown area.
Following cremation, there will be a memorial service for the family in Morgantown at a future date.
