LOGAN, W.Va. — Mary Frances Leake (known as Mary Jo to family and friends), 82, of Logan, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at the home of her sister-in-law in Londonderry, Ohio.
Born July 18, 1930, in Ashland, Boyd County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Henry Glen and Eva Beatty Leake. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Elizabeth Bradley; two brothers, George Thomas Leake and Franklin Ruel Leake, and one nephew, Roy David Leake.
Mary was retired from the old Evans Water Company in Logan after 25 years of service and from Walmart in Logan after 12 years as a greeter.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Virginia Ruth Leake of Princeton and Hettie Hall Leake of Londonderry; one brother-in-law, Orville Bradley of Logan; five nieces, Georgia Ann (Larry) Elkins of Hatfield, Ky., Katherine Joyce (Jeff )Bennett of Summersville, Mary Ruth (Kevin) Kessler of Princeton, Darlene Leake (wife of Roy David) of Williamson, Hettie (Michael) Pugh of Chillicothe, Ohio; two nephews, Fredrick (Kathy) Bradley of Whitman, and Franklin Ruel Leake Jr. of Londonderry, and a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 15, at Honaker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends may call on the family two hours prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
