JEFFREY, W.Va. — Mrs. Ruby Lue Brown, 82, of Jeffrey, was born July 19, 1930, at Varney, a daughter of the late Earl and Causbie Star Chafin. She departed this life Friday, October 26, 2012, at CAMC General Division at Charleston.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, housewife and mother and member of the Dobra House of Prayer.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Jesse Brown Sr.; two grandchildren, Mark Douglas Thompson and Roy Brown Jr.; two brothers, Billy Chafin and John Chafin, and sister, Cherlene Vital.
Survivors include her children, Jesse (Deloris) Brown of Beauty, Ky., Brenda (Leonard) Workman of Clothier, Kenny (Jackie) Brown of West Columbia, Carl (Lisa) Brown of Clifton, Roy (Deanna) Brown, Rick (Diane) Brown and Carl (Rachel) Brown, all of Jeffrey, Linda (Dave) Buzzard of Peytona, Hope (Kevin) Thompson of Sharples, and Betty (Shawn) Wilson, Chelsey Brown and Kelsey Brown, all of Box Elder, S.D.; sisters, Burnice Queen of Ohio and Joyce Legg of Florida; brothers, Cecil Chafin of Ohio and Wilburn Chafin of Florida; 33 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Minister Paul Little and Ralph Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens at Low Gap Road at Madison.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Ricky, Steven, Harold Jr., Darren, Corey, Lennie, Brian, Jarrod and Josh.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
