Concert to benefit local minister

MAN – A benefit concert to help with medical expenses for Steven Duty will be held at 6 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 2 at Man Middle School.


Duty has been in the ministry since he was 17 and served as President of the Man High School Prayer Club and was Chaplain of his graduating class. In addition to working in various churches, including Becco United Baptist Church where he grew up, he has been active in many foreign mission fields. The Logan County Board of Education has donated buses to his ministry, which were converted to provide medical and dental care to those in need.


The concert will feature special singing by The Grimmett Family, Chuck Compton, Destination Heaven and others. There will also be a performance by the M.A.D. for Christ Drama Team.


Hot dogs, dinners and baked goods will be available for purchase, whether attending the concert or not.


There will be a cover charge of $5 for the concert.
