CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mrs. Emma Irene Perry Walsh, 86, of Chapmanville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at her residence.
Born March 4, 1926, at Steptown, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Perry. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Joe L. Walsh; daughters, Sherlia Gail and Barbara Walsh; granddaughter, Emma Ann Thompson; sons-in-law, Victor Franklin Manness and Donald Edward “Donny” Casey; former daughter-in-law, Debra Adkins Walsh; brothers, William “Bill” Perry, Charles “Gid” Perry, and Harold “Buddy” Perry; sisters, Louise Golden, and Anna Mae Weston; in-laws, Edward and Della Ferrell Walsh, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack (Virginia) Walsh and Glen (Eunice) Walsh.
Mrs. Walsh was a homemaker and a member of the Hoover Church of Christ at Harts. She was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Saundra Walsh Manness, Priscilla Walsh Casey, and Eva (Donald) Crum; sons, Joe R. (Carolyn) Walsh, Larry (Joyce) Walsh, and Bruce (Joy) Walsh; grandchildren, Stephen Walsh Manness, Cathy (Pete) Lewis, Stefanie (Rick) Vance, David (Ruthann) Townsend, Jennifer (Virgil) Williams, Marsha (Shawn) Jarrell, Craig (Jeanetta) Casey, Ben (Crystal) Casey, Tim (Tanya) Casey, Melissa (Kenny) Harless, Rodney (Amanda) Craddock, Larry Joe (Dara) Carr, Samantha (Matt) Chafin, Sidney Donald Crum, Tasha (Derrick) Thompson, Bobby (Jordan) Walsh; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Dustin, and Cassidy Lewis, Kaley (Bubby) Dillon, Ricky (Sabrina) Vance, Allyson and Colton Townsend, Rebekah Williams, Jonas Jarrell, Emily, Garrett, Bennett, and Ethan Cole Casey, Kenny Harless, Rodney, Cheyenne, Colton and Keegan Craddock, Hannah Hall, Lara Jo, Taten, Layla Carr, Walker Thompson and Nathan Walsh; sister, Anita Perry (Roger) Deskins, and brother, Douglas “Arthur” (Mary) Perry.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 8, at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Walsh-Thompson Cemetery, Main Smokehouse Road at Chapmanville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandson.
