HARTS, W.Va. — Demi Paulsen, 89, of Harts, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 8, 2012, at her residence.
Born January 22, 1923, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Elige and Chloe Tomblin Williamson. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 71 years, Richard “Dicky” Paulsen; one daughter, Mary Wiley; one granddaughter, Kimberly Paulsen; one great-granddaughter, Piper Ingels; three sisters, Nettie Meeks, Mae Browning and Nina Yates, and four brothers, Hi Williamson, Melve Williamson, Roy Williamson and Wayne Williamson.
Demi was a member of the United Baptist “Enon” Church. She enjoyed quilting, canning, gardening and farm animals.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Sarah (Henry) Meeks; five sons, Charlie (Verdella) Paulsen, Lige (Brenda) Paulsen, Odell Paulsen, Sherman (Judy) Paulsen and Willie (Drusilla) Paulsen; one sister, Delsie Vance; one brother, Elige Williamson Jr.; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday, December 12, at Guyan Freewill Baptist Church at Little Harts with Wornie Meeks and Dolphus Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Vance Cemetery at Copley Trace at Harts, WV.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Paulsen, Lonnie Rae Vance, Chris Meeks, Richard Vance, Greg Meeks, Barry Paulsen, Charles Wiley, Kevin Paulsen and Adam Meeks.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
