PONTIAC, Mich. — Patricia Ann “Pat” Waller, 66, of Pontiac, Mich., formerly of Man, departed this life Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the St. Joseph Hospital Oakland in Pontiac.
Born April 22, 1946, at Crown, she was a daughter of the late James and Mittie Waller. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Louis Thomas Waller, and one sister, Lucy Mae King.
Pat was a 1964 graduate of Man High School and received her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from West Virginia State College and her Masters Degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., in Early Elementary Education. Pat began her professional career as a social worker then later moved to Pontiac where she began her teaching. After 38 years of dedicated teaching, she retired in 2008.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include two brothers, James F. (Rachel) Waller and Jesse (Darla) Waller; three sisters, Anna (James) Smith, and Fannie and Gleandell Waller; special nieces and nephews, Gleanette (Ron) King, Eric (Theresa) King, Felix (Angie) King, Charles (Kim) King, Maurice King, Michael (Nicole) King, Rhonda Smith, Brian King, Shawnetta King, Jessica Waller, Devon Waller, Lynette Singleton, and Chaz Singleton; great-nieces and nephews, Daniel, Kandace, Brianna, Charles III, Gabrielle, Asia, Chantel, Joshua, Jayla, Michael, DeVon, Cameron and Maliyah, and great-great-niece and nephew, Taylor Humphrey and Tyrique.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 29, at Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby with Rev. David Bell Officiating.
