KIRKVILLE, N.Y. — Rebecca Lynn Groesbeck, 66, of Kirkville, N.Y., went to be with the Lord Friday, December 28, 2012.
Born February 1, 1946, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Cremeans. Also preceding her in death was her brother, David Cremeans, and sister, Donna Borders.
Rebecca moved to upstate New York during her teen years where she met and married her husband of 46 years, Art Groesbeck. She was a devoted wife, as well as a loving mother and grandmother. Rebecca graduated from Minoa High School and had advanced education in accounting and bookkeeping, a field in which she worked for many years. She was wonderfully creative, innovative and a joy to be around. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by us all.
Survivors include her husband, Art Groesbeck; sons, David, Stephen and Mikel Groesbeck; sisters, Judith Scheid of Eagle Bay and Linda Susan “Susie” Hensley of Chapmanville; sister-in-law, Judy Cremeans; aunt, Tina Evans of Logan; 14 wonderful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 4, at the Kirkville Community Wesleyan Church, 7691 Bridgeport-Kirkville Rd. Kirkville, N.Y.
