The Gleaners Class of the Crooked Creek Church of Christ met December 11, 2012, in the fellowship hall of the church for their Christmas meeting. Evelyn Adams and Donna Miller decorated for the pizza party.
President Brenda Adams conducted the meeting.
Secretary Karen Dingess read the minutes from the November meeting which had been recorded by Shirley Ruggles. Ruggles gave the financial report and offering was taken up. Class members who save prayer dimes throughout the year turned them in at the meeting. Ruggles asked the class if they wanted to support the same missionaries in 2013. The ladies all agreed, so a check will be sent to each of them in January for the entire year.
Donna Miller offered the prayer for the meeting and the food.
Dingess had the devotion “The True Meaning of Christmas is the Holy Spirit.”
Lotion was purchased by the class and was distributed to the widows and widowers of the church. The schedule of hostesses for class meetings will stay the same except for a few changes that will be discussed on a monthly basis. The ladies decided on other Christmas projects they would do.
Ladies who wanted to participate brought gifts for the gift exchange and Tia Miller played a game with the ladies who bought a wrapped gift. Miller moved to adjourn the meeting and Peggy Farmer seconded the motion.
Those attending were Peggy Farmer, Karen Dingess, Sandy Ray, Shirley Ruggles, Debra Secrist, Rosemary Adams, Diana Brewster, Alfreda and Mary Jane Burns, Donna and Tia Miller, Brenda Adams and Debbie Hall.
