LOGAN – A man causing a disturbance at a local business was not only arrested for his actions in this incident, but had a hold placed on him to serve 28 outstanding warrants.
The lobby of the Fountain Place Cinema 8 was where Clifford Michael Dye, 24, of Mallory, was screaming and cursing at two juveniles and his former girlfriend, Misty Samson. Officer J.R. Adkins was off duty at the time, but was at the scene. He and cinema manager Mike Picklesimer tried to get Mr. Dye to calm down and leave the premises. Dye continued to scream and curse. Officer Adkins escorted Dye outside by force. When Officer M. E. Dickerson arrived, Dye continued to be belligerent and non-compliant. He was restrained and taken into custody.
Samson told the officers Dye had confronted her in the lobby, screaming and cursing at her. Samson went on to say Dye had “chest bumped me, pushing me backwards.” It was then she said her 15-year-old brother stepped in between them. Dye pushed and threatened him.
Dye faces charges of domestic battery, obstructing, trespassing and disorderly conduct. Bond for these charges was set at $2,500.
The arrest for the above charges led to Dye’s being held to serve outstanding warrants for 28 counts of sexual assault 3rd.
Between October of 2009 and May 2010, Dye is charged with having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl four to five times a week. In April of 2010, the victim saw a physician who advised she was ten weeks pregnant.
Bond for these charges has been set at $28,500.
