HOLDEN, W.Va. — Jeffrey Scott “Scottie” Southers, 48, of Holden, departed this life Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 15, 1964, in Holden, he was a son of Mary Kennedy Southers of Holden and the late Jeff Southers. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Timmy Southers, and grandparents, Irmal and Birdie Southers, and Gilbert and Merdie Kennedy
Scottie was a fun loving guy who loved his daughter, Tiffany, his family, and his friends very much. He loved to fix and work on vehicles. He also loved to play with the family dog, Heidi.
Those left to cherish his memory include his very special daughter, Tiffany Hensley of Logan; one sister, Robin (Steven) Rakes of Man; two brothers, Danny Southers and Kevin (Lahoma) Southers, both of Holden, and the mother of Tiffany, Darlene Hensley of Mud Fork, who he dated for 11 years. And would also like to mention his best friends Lenard Ooten, Josh Collins, and Rodney Taylor who has been his best friend since grade school.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, February 8, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Layton Lockhart and Rev. Bobby Harrison officiating.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
