DANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Clark “Buddy” Evans, 75, of Lick Creek, Danville, departed this life January 31, 2013.
Born April 1, 1937, at Harts, he was a son of the late Lori Evans. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Lola Evans Collins, and a brother, Fred Evans (Sue).
Buddy, as he was known to us, was a very friendly person. He never met a stranger, because he loved to talk. He always had a tall tale to tell you. He dearly loved his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his only son, Bill (Rhonda) Brown of Chapmanville; three grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Kish, Ashley Nicole Brown and William Evan Edward Brown; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Brown and Alivia Kish; brother, Leonard (Patty) Evans of Danville; five nieces, Ann Collins Starr of Chapmanville, Robin Simpkins and Lori Evans, both of West Hamlin, and Thelma and Pearly Evans of Danville; two nephews, Jack and Kevin Collins of Chapmanville; his aunt that raised him, Verona Lambert of Taplin, and her children, Sandy Harvey, Connie Evans and the late Loretta Evans, Jack (Jean) Evans. He had a very good friend that he thought the world of John Kenny.
The family would like to thank everyone that helped in taking care of him, with a very special thanks to Margaret Damron and the ladies at Trinity Nursing Home of Williamson.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 4, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Rev. Vivie Marcum officiating.
