WEST LOGAN, W.Va. — Mrs. Nora G. Bailey, 77, of West Logan, was born August 24, 1935, at Peach Creek, a daughter of the late Lonzo and Leafy Jane Carte Husband. She departed this life Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Bailey was retired from Quality Hydraulics, formerly worked at Statons Market at Peach Creek, was a member of the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church and has been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Logan General Hospital and Logan Regional Medical Center since the 1970s.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Ray and Claude “Buddy” Husband; sisters, Thelma Lindsay and Lucille Deskins, and granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Ralph Bailey; children, Ralph Charles Bailey of Mossy and Wendy Bailey (Mike) Williams of Chapmanville; granddaughter, Whitney Williams Adams, and great-granddaughter, Emilee Adams, both of Chapmanville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 10, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Robert Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Male members of the hospital auxiliary and West Logan Missionary Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan Regional Medical Scholarship Fund, Jennifer Marie Williams Scholarship at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College or West Logan Missionary Baptist Church.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
