LOGAN, W.Va. — Linda Gail Huckeby Saunders, 61 of Logan, formerly of Whitman, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
Born October 6, 1951, at Holden, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Avonelle Clark Huckeby. Also preceding her in death was her son, Eric Lee Saunders, and brother, William “Billy” Huckeby.
Linda was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Herbert Len Saunders; daughter, Tamara (Robert) Mosley of Logan; sister Louise (Gabe) Evans of Indiana; two brothers, Jack (Karen) Huckeby of Chapmanville and Leonard (Edna) Huckeby; grandchildren, Erica Lynn Saunders and Emilee Renee Mosley; three special grandchildren, Michael Frankum, Briann Whitman, Daniel Bryant, and a host of family and friends.
Linda would like to thank her caregivers Sabrina Sargent of Logan and Kaycee Alberts of Whitman. Her family would also like to thank these guys that were like her sons: Josh Lawson, Mikey Crum, Jason Adkins, Timmy Stallard and many others.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday, February 12, at James Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Adkins, Josh Lawson, Timmy Stallard, Zack Donahue, Johnathan Jones and Robert Mosley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Lucas, Michael Frankum and Sambo Browning.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
