It wasn’t a good night Tuesday at George Washington as the Logan High School boys’ basketball team lost 63-30 to the homestanding GW Patriots at the George Washington High School gym on their Charleston South Hills campus.
The Patriots (17-4) raced out to a 33-12 halftime lead over the Wildcats (7-14) and never looked back.
George Washington, which swept the season series with Logan, was led by Luke Eddy who contributed 24 points and six assists.
A.J. Reynolds led Logan with 10 points. Worm Street had eight and Zak Miller five, while C.J. Williams, Chase Preston and T.J. Tomblin all had two each. Z. Minnick chipped in with one point.
Logan trailed 17-7 after one quarter and fell behind 45-24 after three. An 18-6 fourth quarter by George Washington turned the game into a rout.
The Wildcats are 1-6 in their last seven games.
Logan is scheduled to return to action with Thursday night’s Senior Night game against Capital. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena. It will be the regular season and home finale for the Cats.
