MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Mrs. Georgena Smith, 90, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Chapmanville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, S.C.

Born July 4, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Small Delong. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, George Smith; granddaughter, Sheila Martin; 14 siblings, and grand-son-in-law, George Richard Clark.

Mrs. Smith loved to cook and work with her garden. She was a devoted Christian and member of Garrett Chapel Community Church. She was a wonderful and loving wife, a good mother, and the greatest grandmother anyone could have. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Lewis Franklin (Regina) Page of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Cheri Gangus of Conway, Terri Clark of Myrtle Beach, Leslie (Craig) Martin of Galivants Ferry, S.C., and Charles Page of Huntsville, Ala.; five great-grandchildren, Brandi (Jason) Barnhill, Tina (Chris) Johnson, Justin Martin, and Amber Martin all of Galivants Ferry, and Nicholas Martin of Conway; five great-great-grandchildren, Haven and Noah Johnson, Isaac and Christian Barnhill, and Bentley Martin; one sister, Stella Lebo; six special brothers and sisters-in-law, and a special thanks from the family to Elizabeth Stewart for caring and loving our grandmother like we do.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. John Workman officiating. Her longtime pastor, Rev. Sherman Smith, would have assisted if his health would have permitted. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
