HARTS, W.Va. — Sharon Boyd, 58 of West Fork of Harts, departed this life Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her residence.
Born September 1, 1954, in Man, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Freda Mae Salyers. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Connie White, and two brothers, Rick and David Salyers.
Sharon enjoyed weed eating, hunting, scrapbooking, working in her garden, spending time with her family and going to church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Boyd Sr.; two daughters, Malina (Bill Jr.) Gunnells of Harts, and Sarah Holeston (companion Timothy Erwin) of Danville; two sons, Charles Boyd Jr. and Fred (Emilie) Boyd of Striker Fork; five sisters, Robin (Joey) Green of Quinland, Wanda Salmons of Kermit, Lynn (Donnie) Roberts and Gail (Arlen) Blankenship, both of Shiloh, Ohio, and Linda (Bruce) Johnson of Pecks Mill; one brother, Richard (Niwana) Salyers of Chapmanville, and five grandchildren, Bill Gunnells III, Faith Holeston, Kelsie Combs, Sheyanna Erwin and Justin Carter Boyd.
The family would like to thank the Kanawha Hospice and Sally, Libby and Joan.
Services will be held at noon Friday, March 8, at Freeman Funeral Home with Larry Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Boyd Jr., Fred Boyd, Bill Gunnells Jr., Bill Gunnells III, Richard Salyers, Chris Salmons and Timothy Erwin.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
