MAN, W.Va. — Shirley Dallas Bare, 71, of Man, passed peacefully from this world to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 6, 2013. She was surrounded by her husband of 55 years, Franklin Bare, and her family who attended to her needs since the beginning of her illness.
Born May 1, 1941, at Lorado, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Belva Smith Miller. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Homer, Ralph, and Bill Miller, and one sister, Sarah Miller.
Shirley was of the Freewill Baptist faith, and had served the Lord since her youth. She loved attending church until her illness precluded this.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Franklin Bare; five children, Frank (Patricia) Bare of Man, Rhonda (Ralph) Police and Jonnie (Mike) Conley, both of Chapmanville, Sherry (Tim) McCoy of Byron, Ga., and Johnny (Becky) Bare of Charleston; two brothers, Robert and David Miller; two sisters, Carol Mcquire and Phyllis Miller, and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Taplin Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Lacy Cox, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dignity Hospice for their help during this difficult time.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
