BIDWELL, Ohio — Oleva Gaie Bryant, 86, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center.
Born September 4, 1926, in Logan County, she was a daughter of the late Stollie W. and Myrtle McKinney Hainor. She married John T. “J.T.” Bryant on November 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2009. Also preceding her in death was a son, Barry Steve Bryant, and a grandson, Shawn Maynard.
She attended French City Southern Baptist Church, was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts and cooking.
Survivors include her four sons, Gary (Candy) Bryant of Bidwell, Dale (Sherry) Bryant of Florida, and Greg (Cindy) Bryant and Michael (Polly) Bryant, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Lori Bryant of Gallipolis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Steele of Richmond, Ky., and Betty Lou Smith of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Betty Bryant of Florida, and a sister-in-law, Mary Rose Marcum of Chapmanville.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Her grandsons and great-grandsons will be pallbearers.
