WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Mary M. “Maggie” Markins, 87, of Trinity Health Care Nursing Home in Williamson, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.
Born February 9, 1926, at Crooked Creek, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Elizabeth Markins. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Naomi Markins, Drusie (Pete) Williams and Ruth (Joe) Kerns of West Logan, and two brothers, Charles (Georgia) Markins of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Carlson (Nadene) Markins of Clearwater, Fla.
Mary Lived and worked most of her life in Los Angeles, Calif. She moved back to West Logan in June 1990.
Survivors include one sister, Frances (Clark) Sellards; four nephews, Danny Sellards, Gary Kerns, Terry Markins and Lowell Markins; two nieces, Gloria Thomas and Sandy Hackney; five great-nieces, Meagan Elizabeth Sellards, Tara Hughes, Tiffany Seabolt, Robin Trussell and Dawn Thomas, and one great-nephew, Joseph Kerns.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Trinity Health Care Nursing Home, the Williamson Memorial ICU Department and special thanks to Margaret Damron for the kindness and care they gave our loved one.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Bob Morris officiating.
There will be no visitation.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
