The Ladies Auxiliary of the Central United Baptist Church met on Monday, March 11, at the Central Christian Center for their regular monthly meeting.
Janet Doss welcomed everyone and read from Romans: Chapter 5.
Lois Farmer led “Love Lifted Me” for the fellowship and opening prayer was given by Debbie Evans.
Circle 3, with members Tammy Blankenship, Sally Wall, Mary Ramey, Amanda Baisden, Lana Collins, Donnetta Curry, Candis Ellis, Beulah Williamson, Debbie Evans, Irene Furrow, Cynthia Horseman, Linda Huffman and Barbara Lanthorne, were hostesses for the meeting.
Natalie Blankenship and Alera Messer sang by word and mime “Amazing Grace”, “My Chains are Gone” and “All of Creation”.
Betty Clark celebrated her birthday and Donetta and Rex Curry are celebrated their anniversary in March.
The minutes were taken by Kristi Mcneely and read by Janet Doss. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Sue Farmer.
Business included: A new church directory was discussed by the auxiliary; a motion was made by Lana Brammer and seconded by Kaye Browning for the auxiliary to donate old artificial flowers to LHS theatre group “Little Shop of Horrors/Flowers”. Mary Ramey will be in charge of this project; Barbara Lanthorne is in charge of a committee to raise monies to help defer cost of the Mother’s Day dinner on May 13th by helping sell Oragami Owl jewelry; the auxiliary received donations from Bob Evans for persons who ate there on Mar. 18th from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; a Hot Dog-Baked Bean-Potato Salad-Dessert Supper was Wednesday, March 20; a revival that begins on April 17th with Rev Bobby Burns as speaker and anyone interested in serving on the Kitchen Remodeling Committee should let Janet Doss or Paul Evans know.
Donetta Curry and Freda White won the door prizes. The closing prayer was given by Debby Evans.
