The Logan Middle School softball team ran its record to 7-1 on the season with Monday night’s 5-2 win at Man.

Stefanie Curry pitched all seven innings for Logan and struck out 16 batters.

Alison Click, Lexi Hines and Curry had two hits each for LMS. Stefanie Eplin, Ashtyn Hylton and Hannah Vance all had one hit.

Man jumped on top 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning.

The Lady Pioneers’ lead held until the third inning before Click doubled, Hines singled and both came home on Curry’s two-run single to tie it up. Eplin’s run scoring single then scored Curry to make it 3-2.

In the fourth, Vance singled with one out and Click followed with another single. Both runners moved up on a passed ball before Curry’s two-run single made it 5-2.

Logan also won the JV game, 6-5 over Man.

LMS was scheduled to host Oceana on Tuesday night. On Thursday and Saturday, Logan is scheduled to play in the Chapmanville Middle School tournament.
