GALENA, Ohio — Charles E. Kitchen, 88, Galena, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 26, 2013.
Born February, 14, 1925, in Ceredo Kenova, he was a son of the late William C. and May Jones Kitchen. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Ellen Mocsary, and brothers, Jack ,Murel and Franklin “Buster” Kitchen.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Bunch Kitchen; daughters, Debbie (David) Hanes and Marsha Kitchen (Brad) Beck; grandchildren, Tyler Hanes and Morgan Beck; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Charles served in the US Air Force and the US Army during World War II and retired from Sears & Roebuck Service Center.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Sharon Woods Baptist Church, 5959 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus. Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery at Westerville, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213 or Sharon Woods Baptist Church.
