LOGAN, W.Va. — Mr. Gene E. Brumfield, 84, of Justice Addition, Logan, was born November 2, 1928, at Stirrat. He went to be with the Lord Monday, April 29, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.
Mr. Brumfield was a self-employed accountant, member of the Bethel Chapel Church and veteran of the US Navy.
Preceding him in death was his son, Richard Brumfield; his first wife, Kathleen Bartram Brumfield, and a great-grandson, Robert Shelton.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Webb Brumfield; son, Kenneth Brumfield of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; step-children, Phyllis Cooper of Chapmanville, Jack (Jackie) Fenner of Myrtle Beach and Patty (Jim) Winkler of Lake; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Keith McClung officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
