The Chapmanville Regional High School baseball team ran its record to 19-6 overall and 8-4 in the Cardinal Conference with Tuesday night’s 3-1 win at Sissonville.
The Tigers gained a season series sweep with the Indians, also winning 2-0 at home over Sissonville last week.
Brock Dalton led Chapmanville at the plate as he was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Brent Clay also had two hits for the Tigers.
Dominick Walker rapped out pair of singles for Sissonville.
Trey Dalton pitched a complete game five-hitter for the Tigers.
Chapmanville outhit the Indians 8-5 and committed no errors. Sissonville had three errors.
The Indians led 1-0 after three innings before the Tigers plated a run in the fourth to tie it. CRHS then added two more runs in the sixth which proved to be the difference.
The Tigers have two games left in the regular season beginning with last night’s road contest at Herbert Hoover. Chapmanville then hosts Mount View on Friday at 6 p.m. in its Senior Night game.
On Monday, Chapmanville is set to play at Scott in the first game of a best-of-three game sectional series. Game 2 is set for next Tuesday at Chapmanville. Game 3, if necessary, would then be played on Wednesday, May 8 at Scott.
The Tigers and the Skyhawks have split this season in a two-game series with each team winning at home.
Chapmanville is 9-1 over its last 10 games and are 14-4 over its last 18 contests.
