The Logan High School tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a win over the Scott Skyhawks on Tuesday.
The Logan boys won 5-2 and improved its record to 16-4 on the season. The LHS girls were a 7-0 winner over Scott.
In the No. 1 boys’ singles match, Logan senior Zack Hatfield won 8-1 over Scott’s Caleb Starkey.
In the No. 2, Logan’s Keith Williamson defeated Blake Chambers 8-0.
Jacob Adkins of Logan downed Eric Constant 8-0 in the No. 3 singles match.
In the No. 4 singles match, Scott’s Andrew Bokton won 8-3 over Trevor Adkins.
In No. 1 doubles, Logan’s Hatfield and Williamson was an 8-6 winner over Scott’s Starkey and Chambers.
Senior Logan Adkins and Jacob Adkins of Logan then downed Dunlap and Constant 8-0 in the No. 2 doubles match.
In the No. 3 doubles match, Scott’s Bokton and Green were an 8-5 winner over Trevor Adkins and Tyler Moore.
In an exhibition match Moore won 6-2 over the Skyhawks’ Dunlap.
On the girls’ side, Logan won all seven matches.
The Lady Cats’ Morgan Browning (8-6), Adrianna Herrera (8-3), Riki Workman (8-3) and Adrianna Fleming (8-1) all won in singles.
Chambers and Browning (8-0) and Hayley Hatfield and Brooke Mollett (8-1) won in doubles. The third doubles match was won by LHS due to default.
The LHS tennis team goes on the road for the Class AAA regional tournament Thursday and Friday at Ritter Park in Huntington.
