CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Bobby L. Bledsoe, 85, of Chapmanville, was born April 8, 1928, at Stone Branch, a son of the late Randolph and Josie Perry Bledsoe. He departed this life Monday, May 6, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Bledsoe was a retired welder from Sharples Coal Company and member of the UMWA Local 2835.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Leo, Virgil and Baxter Bledsoe, and two sisters, Alberta Payne and Lorraine Brumfield.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Jordan Bledsoe; son, Marvin Bledsoe of Chapmanville; grandson, Brian (Elishia) Bledsoe of Chapmanville; granddaughter, Courtney (Christopher) Conley of Chapmanville; two great-grandsons, Christopher Jr. and Jared C. and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with his nephews, Carl, Kenneth and James Bledsoe officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Lynn, Gary and Billy Joe Bledsoe, Donnie Winans and Brian and Marvin Bledsoe.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at funeral home.
The Family would like to thank the Nurses and Staffs of Thomas Memorial Hospital, Hubbard Hospice House and DaVita Dialysis Centers for the care of Bobby.
