BROWNS RUN, W.Va. — Ferbie Farley, 85, of Browns Run, departed this life Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at her residence.
Born December 22, 1927, in Shively, she was a daughter of the late James Sr. and Lucinda Bryant Hensley. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Julius “Jude” Farley; one grandson, William Farley; one great-grandson, Christian Jude Swims; nine brothers, Stonewall, Lewis, James Jr., Major, George, Don, Albert, Jesse and Charley Hensley, and five sisters, Rosa Ann “Annie” Hensley, Gracie Tomblin, Gladys Hensley, Cori Bryant and Lizzie Hensley.
Ferbie was a member of the White Oak Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Vicki (Dale) Workman of Chapmanville; two sons, David (Soledad) Farley of Tucson, Ariz., and Byron (Ocie) Farley of Chapmanville; two sisters, Betty and Rosie Akers, both of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Harvey (Sue) and John Hensley, both of Chapmanville, and Frank (Dorothy) Hensley of Harts; seven grandchildren, Christy Ann (Rodney) Willms and Tina (Roger) Jones, both of Tucson, Mindy (Chris) Swims, Brian (Cora) Farley, Benjamin Workman (fiancée Kara Adams), Kelly Workman and Beverly Farley (fiancé, Zachary McDonald), all of Chapmanville, and seven great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Nathan Willms of Tucson, William “Tony” and Alexis Farley of Chapmanville, Alicia and Isabella Padilla of Goodyear, Ariz., and Arabella Swims of Chapmanville.
Services will be held at noon, Saturday, May 11, at White Oak Church of Christ with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hall/Hensley Cemetery at Shively.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
