WHITMAN, W.Va. — Rosalie Kimbler passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, after a brief illness.
Born July 12, 1937, at Huntington, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Oma Johnson Kimbler. Also preceding her in death was her niece, Misty Michelle Kimbler.
Rosalie was a resident of Whitman for 65 years and graduated with the Logan High School Class of 1955, in addition to earning an Associate of Art Degree from Southern West Virginia Community College. An employee of Island Creek Stores Accounting and Purchasing Department, she was the last employee to leave when Island Creek Stores closed, writing her own dismissal letter. She then worked and retired as a payroll clerk at Logan Regional Hospital.
She will be sadly missed by her brother, James (Debbie) Kimbler of Charleston, and her nephews, Kris (Leah) Kimbler of Fort Myers, Fla., and Chad (Leslie Schultz) Kimbler of Portland, Ore.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Maxine “MiMi” Dillon, the staff at Logan Regional Medical Center, the staff at Trinity Healthcare, the staff at Janet’s Park and Eat and loved ones who have sent prayers on the behalf of her and her family. All have been a comfort during this time of grief.
Friends may visit Sunday, May 26, from 1-2 p.m. at James Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that you take your family or friends for a meal at Janet’s Park and Eat or your favorite restaurant.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
