CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Charles W. Gore, 74, of Chapmanville, was born September 6, 1938, at Chapmanville, a son of the late Wilson Lamon and Winifred Adams Gore. He departed this life Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.
Mr. Gore was a retired teacher and Director of Attendance for the Logan County Board of Education, a lifetime member of both the National Education Association and West Virginia Education Association and a Marshal University Art Honorary.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Norman Gore; uncles, Frederick Blair of Powhatan, Va., and Forrest Blair of Detroit, Mich., and many beloved cousins.
Services with will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Andy Wade officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
