Logan splits with Mingo in Babe Ruth twinbill

Mingo County split a doubleheader with Logan over the weekend in summer Babe Ruth baseball action.


Logan won the first game 14-4, while Mingo won the nightcap 8-7.


Seth Nichols was the winning pitcher in the first game, while Kenny Allen took the loss on the mound for Mingo County.


Allen had a single for Mingo, while Zack Blackburn, Matt Christian and Noah Rhodes also singled for coach Brian Haney’s team.


Ralph Holstein and Alex Toler tripled for Logan, while Jared Shawver had two hits.


In the second game, Raahkim Gray was the winning pitcher for Mingo, with Zack Samuel getting the save.


Zach Curry led Mingo with two hits including a double and single with two RBIs. Blake Hackney had a single, Thomas Harmon had two hits and three stolen bases and Gray had a single and RBI.


The losing pitcher was Peyton Branham for Logan. Dawson Beckett doubled for Logan.
