Workforce West Virginia is on the move.
Currently located at Fountain Place Mall in Logan, Workforce West Virginia will move to the new state building on Stratton street. They will be located on the second floor of the building.
Debbie White, interviewer with the state unemployment job service, said the move will be effective Monday, June 17.
“This will make it a true one-stop for many individuals as there are currently many other state agencies located in that building,” she said.
Connie Cline, manager of the office, said the move also allow staff to provide better quality customer service, as the new accomodations will include much larger office space and conference rooms.
New claims will be taken only at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. every day, Monday through Friday, and claimaints are encouraged to show up 30 minutes prior.
The phone number will remain the same, 304-792-7010.
Services at the Williamson itinerant office will be unchanged by the move. Representatives from the office will still see customers on Wednesday from 8:30 a,m. to 5 p.m. only, at the DHHR office, 203 East Third Avenue.
