DAVIN, W.Va. — Jeremy Lee Grimmett, 28, of Davin, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at his home.
Born December 6, 1984, at Logan, he was a son of Karen Sue Harper Collins of Davin and the late Timmy Grimmett Sr. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, William and Lois Grimmett, James and Barbara Walker, and Marie Pancake.
Jeremy was a coal miner who was formerly employed with Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. He had also formerly been employed with Advance Auto at Man. An outdoorsman, Jeremy enjoyed hunting and riding 4-wheelers. He was talented at working on cars and stereo systems.
Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include four brothers, Timmy (Elaine) Grimmett II of Turtle Creek in Boone County, Michael Todd (Stephanie) Grimmett of Davin, Justin Michael (Kerri) Walker of Bruno, and Austin Clay Grimmett of Florida; grandparents, Ben and Geneva Harper of Elk Creek; step-father, Billy Collins; four nephews, Timmy Grimmett III, Ian Gage Walker, Taytem Chase Walker, and Skyler Justin Walker; one niece, Abigail Paige Grimmett; many aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Greenville Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Gary Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family.
