Bike Rodeo returns to Logan

It has become an annual event for families that is especially popular with youngsters. The Kiwanis Club of Logan’s Bike Rodeo will return on Saturday, June 29, for kids age 12 and under at the Cinema 8/Gatti’s parking lot at the Fountain Place Plaza. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and goes through 1 p.m.


“We will be having another great event and this year we will be giving away over 20 bicycles to youngsters,” longtime Kiwanis officer Darren Akers said Friday. “We will also be giving away plenty of free helmets while supplies last so bring the kids out for a great day of fun in the sun.”


Traditionally the Kiwanis Bike Rodeo has had a little something for everyone, from free gifts and prizes to health screenings, so everyone in the family might want to attend this fun-filled event. This year’s Bike Rodeo will also feature free hot dogs and sodas, and there will be many items of interest.


The event will kick off with practices and courses for riders and throughout the event prizes will be awarded.


“So come on out on Saturday, June 29, starting at 11 a.m. and running till 1 p.m. bring the kids, be prepared for some fun and we will see you there,” Akers added.
