CHARLESTON — Forty West Virginia business leaders were recently honored for individual leadership skills. The independent panel of judges for Generation Next/40 Under 40 chose business leaders in the state according to performance, dedication, and enthusiasm; which made for an obvious choice when Sydney Thornhill Brown was chosen because of her leadership role with the Thornhill family of dealerships and businesses.
“Sydney was nominated by our employees,” Wally Thornhill said. “Not by myself or Butch or any of her family members. And that says a lot, I think… that the employees recognize and appreciate her leadership qualities.”
The 40 honorees were celebrated with an award ceremony held May 30 at the West Virginia Cultural Center at the Capitol where Senator Joe Manchin helped hand out awards and accolades.
