WEST LOGAN, W.Va. — Danny Clark Sellards, 61, of West Logan, went home to be with his Lord, the great musician Friday, June 28, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 27, 1952, in Logan, he was a son of Fran and the late Clark Sellards. Also preceding him in death were three aunts, Maggie Markins, Ruth Kerns and Drusie William, and two uncles, Carlson Markins and Charlie Markins. Danny is also preceded in death by a special uncle, Joe Kerns of West Logan.
Danny was a talented musician and enjoyed playing music with his friends.
Those left to enjoy his memories and the music of Steve Earle are his daughter, Meagan (Evan) Hedrick of St. Albans; cousins, Gloria (Bob) Thomas of Pensacola, Fla., Gary (Wenda) Kerns of St. Petersburg, Fla., and special friends, Jeffrey Haines and Robin Campbell, both of West Logan.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from noon-2:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Logan Missionary Baptist Church.
James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.
