SUTTON, W.Va. (AP) — Movie makers have until Aug. 15 to enter the annual West Virginia FILMmakers Festival.

The event is set for Oct. 4-6 in Sutton. Festival Director Caitlin Renee Campbell says it’s open to films shot anywhere.

But organizers are especially interested in those filmed in West Virginia, about West Virginia and by people from West Virginia.

Competition categories include: narrative, documentary, shorts, student projects and experimental, animation or music video.

And someone will be named filmmaker of the year.

This is the festival’s 14th year. For more information, visit the festival’s website.
