It’s that time of year again, summer is winding down and families are getting children ready to head back to the classrooms on August 20, 2013.
The Logan County Health Department will conduct a special clinic for incoming 7th and 12th grade students on Monday, August 12, 2013, from 8:20-11 a.m. to provide required vaccinations: T-dap and Menactra (Meningitis). The clinic will be held in the Health Department, room 203, of the Courthouse. A parent must accompany students under age 18. Shot records are required. For more information call the 304-792-8630.
The Logan County Health Department is also reminding parents and guardians of Pre-K and Kindergarten students of a mandatory screening. This screening only applies to those students who did not attend the screenings in the spring of 2013.
All children must go through the screenings before he/she can start school. If a child does not have the screening, they will be denied entry and other arrangements will have to be made.
The screenings will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m., at Logan Middle School, Chapmanville Middle School and Man Middle School. For more information contact Debbie Willis at 304-792-2073.
Rising freshmen in Logan County Schools are encouraged to attend orientations at the high schools.
