McCONNELL — The McConnell Tabernacle Youth Group honored Zachary and Kayla Marcum with a farewell pizza party on July 17, 2013, in the fellowship hall of the church. The children, long time members of the church, were preparing to move to the Charleston area.
Decorations consisted of a summer theme of lemon yellow and bright orange colorful flip-flops, sun glasses, flower petals and hang-ten foot prints. The side table was decorated with a floral arrangement, pictures of Zachary and Kayla, the Bible and gifts.
Pastor Keith McClung presented a Bible to Zachary and Kayla in appreciation to their services to the Lord and regular attendance in church. McClung pointed out that the Bible was the most important book they would ever receive as it will guide them daily.
