The Logan High School volleyball team dropped to 0-7 on the season with three losses to Class AAA teams last Thursday at the St. Albans Quad Match.

Logan lost 25-10, 25-13 to host St. Albans in the first match, then fell 25-7, 25-17 to South Charleston and 25-18, 25-17 to Riverside.

“All three teams up there are powerhouses and are just all-around good teams,” Logan coach Chelsey Stowers said. “We hang in with them, but just couldn’t get past any of them. We played sluggish our first game and weren’t working well together, then the second game they picked it up and played like a team and did a lot better.”

The Lady Cats were scheduled to play in the Mingo Central Quad Match on Saturday at Newtown. Logan was then slated to play at Lincoln County on Monday night.

Logan returns to action on Saturday at the Westside tourney. The next home match is Sept. 24 against Sherman. The first serve is set for 6 p.m. at Willie Akers Arena.
