The Chapmanville Regional High School volleyball team dropped four recent matches.
Back on Sept. 17 in a tri-match at Sissonville, Chapmanville lost to Tolsia, 25-18, 25-19. The Lady Tigers then lost 25-19, 25-21 to host Sissonville.
“My only senior Alex Baisden was out sick. Early in the match Hillary Hainer hurt her ankle and was out. So that only left us with two girls on the floor with any experience,” Lady Tigers’ coach Johnny Williamson said.
Chapmanville was then scheduled to host Wayne on Sept. 19 but the match was rescheduled to Sept. 30 due to a death in Coach Williamson’s family.
The Lady Tigers then hosted Cardinal Conference foes Mingo Central and Herbert Hoover this Tuesday. Mingo Central defeated Chapmanville 2-1 in a hard fought match as the Lady Tigers were still without Hainer. The Huskies then beat Chapmanville 2-0.
Chapmanville was slated to play at Sherman on Thursday night. The Lady Tigers return to action at Man on Tuesday. The next home match is Oct. 19 with the annual Chapmanville tourney.
“At this point I have three girls injured. We should be getting two of them back this week. However, some of my sophomores have been getting great experience,” Coach Williamson said.
