LHS FCA hosts autumn rally

On Sunday, September 29, the Logan High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) had an out of school rally at the First Baptist Church of McConnell. Fall sports teams from the following attended: local midget football teams, Coalfield Soccer Teams, Logan Middle School Tennis, Logan High Volleyball, Chapmanville Regional Golf, Logan High Golf, Logan Middle Cheerleaders, Logan High Cross Country, and Logan High School Football. Guest speaker was Josh Sonoga, the Huddle Coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers FCA from Morgantown. A luncheon was provided for the representatives, coaches and their parents following the service. The Logan High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Friday in Mr. John E. Godby’s room for an inspirational devotion time and fellowship. FCA is a national organization that is activity in pro sports, college sports, and all public schools. FCA is a means by which young people can express their faith and have a bond of inter-strength through assembling for fellowship.
