Bell County Forestry Camp employee arrested for rape

An employee of the Bell County Forestry Camp was arrested and charged with rape Friday afternoon.

According to a release from the Kentucky State Police (KSP), the Bell County Forestry Camp contacted KSP Post 10 on May 20 about one of their employees having sexual contact with a male inmate. During the subsequent investigation, officials obtained over 50 hours of phone conversations between employee Tasha Knuckles, 28, of Frakes, Ky., and the inmate.

The investigating officer, Detective Bryan Johnson, arrested Knuckles at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday.

She is charged with rape in the third degree and is lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.

The case is still under investigation by Johnson.
