Season 5 of the award-winning FX television series “Justified” will begin on Tuesday at 10 p.m. on the FX Network.
The new season brings new characters and spell-binding excitement for its viewers.
The first episode of the fifth season entitled “A Murder of Crowes” starts off with a bang as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, portrayed by the Emmy nominated Timothy Olyphant and cast as a Harlan County native, appears in a courtroom answering to a charge of assault against one of the Crowe clan.
Appalachian drug dealer Boyd Crowder, portrayed by the Emmy nominated Walter Goggins, looks at ways to get his fiancee, Ava Crowder, portrayed by Joelle Carter, out of the slammer, even considering intimidating those involved. Crowder also shows how county folk can be under-estimated when criminal activity is concerned.
Trouble brews in Florida with the Crowe clan, while brutal suspense in Detroit, Mich. brings fans to the edge of their seats.
Newcomer Wendy Crowe, Alicia Witt, shows some brass when conflict comes to her family.
With story lines set in Harlan County, Justified is based on Elmore Leonard’s short story “Fire in the Hole” and developed by Graham Yost. Leonard passed away recently during the production of Season 5.
The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.
