Deputy jailer arrested on drug-related charges

HAZARD—A deputy jailer with the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard was arrested Friday on charges related to allegedly introducing contraband material into the jail.

Bruce Campbell, 27, of Hazard, was arrested at his residence, and has been charged with one count of first-degree official misconduct. He has been lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, further charges and arrests are likely, and the investigation is ongoing.
